The Reader's Quarry Bookstore
Fine Antiquarian, Used, Rare, and Out of Print Books in Woodstock, NY

The Reader's Quarry Bookstore is located in the historic arts colony village of Woodstock, New York. We offer a wide variety of lovingly cared-for used, rare, and out-of-print books for readers and antiquarian book collectors. The bookstore, founded in 1974, was moved to these premises close to the heart of Woodstock in May of 2004 and re-opened by the present owner, Anne Benson.

Now housed in a charming country cottage on the banks of Tinker Creek in the heart of Woodstock, N.Y.,our bookstore is just downstream from a covered bridge. Look for our sign opposite the Woodstock Library on Route 212. Parking is available at the bookstore, or we're just a short walk from the center of Woodstock.

We carry all kinds of books, but focus on the arts. Fine art, literature, poetry, criticism, music, theater, film, dance, cooking, gardening, biographies of writers and artists, modern first editions, childrens', literary fiction and classics, spiritualism; you'll find all these and more. We also do searches, sell on the internet booksites, and, of course, love to welcome buyers to deal in person with us via the bookstore. The internet is wonderful as a resource, but there is nothing like browsing--and holding, touching, and turning the pages of a book. We offer discounts to book dealers, and often adjust prices to encourge young and beginning book collectors. We are always looking to buy books of all kinds in good condition. Please call before bringing us books so that we can help you in the most efficient way possible. /i//tn_int.front.JPG
